Multimedia Websites
Multimedia Website is a great way to capture your audience with animated graphics that could serve two purposes the first being a way of showcasing your services if you were a design company or if you were attempting to capture the younger audience.
There are of course other factors that include cool visual effects.
The most common format to use when you build a multimedia website is using the Flash format.
There are two ways to do this.
This first is to create the website using a program called Flash®. This program takes a while to master and the
learning curve is not easy. I personally gave up using this software after I was trained due to the complexity I found learning this software program. You might encounter a different experience than what I have so your experience may be a better one than mine.
Another alternative is to use a third part software program that creates Flash files. These programs are cheaper and in many cases very easy to learn. A quick search in Google and you will find many programs to choose from.
My suggestion is to try out a few before you decide to purchase a programs so you can get the feel of the program and whether you can out grow using this software. If you’re building a flash website customers don’t care how it’s done as long as the output is in Flash.
One draw back with building a multimedia website using flash is that it is very difficult to optimise your website for search engines due to the content being inside the Flash file so before you build it think about it.
Another method of building a Multimedia website is to create it using the Shockwave® file format.Shockwave® files are typically created using a program called Director and its easy to learn, funand an awesome software program to use.
I am not aware of a third pay product that can build a shockwave file.
The difference between Flash® and Shockwave® files is that Flash® is more popular and the Flash® plugin is installed in more browsers than the Shock wave plugin.
Flash® and Shockwave® are products created by adobe.com
