Font Info For Your Web Site

There are 2 types of font you need to be familiar with when you’re building a web site.

Serif and Sans Serif are the 2 types. Basically Serif stands for feet and sans serif stands for no feet.

If you take a look closely to Times New Roman type-font it appears to have ‘feet’ where if you have a look at sans serif type
the letters are just straight and not curved.

An example of Sans Serif type-fonts are Arial and Verdana. Take a look at your local newspaper does the text look this or this? There are hundreds of fonts out there you can use however you need to use fonts that are already installed on your visitors computer who will be the ones viewing your web site. Theres in no point in using the type-font Miami on your web site when it looks really good on your computer but it wont look as good on your visitors computer. To be safe only use Times New Roman or Arial or Verdana when building a web site.

I personally like the Verdana type-font when building a web site. It not only looks smart but is appealing to eye. Best thing is that many web sites suit this style displaying text on a webpage and is not limited to a few web sites.

You might be thinking there is a particular type-font I want to use as a webpage title. What can I do?

You can accomplish this task by using Illustration software programs such as Adobe Illustrator or an image editing program like Photoshop. You will need to create a new image design it how you like by adding your text save it and add it to your webpage.
