Add a photo Credit

To in your webpage is just a matter of reorganising your webpage layout and adding a table.

If you are wrapping an image around text it is not possible to to your image like the below example.

The best way to add a credit to your photo is by adding a table with rows and place your content in each cell so its fixed into position and you won’t need to worry about the image or text moving around your webpage.
Lets take a look at an example.

Lets say you have the following.

Your text goes here ——————————–add a photo credit
—————————————————-
—————————————————-
—————————————————-
—————————————————
———————————————————————–

Now lets take an example with the Photo Credit added.

Your text goes here —————————–
————————————————-
————————————————-
————————————————-
————————————————-

photo credits
Photo Credit

——————————————————————

This might look the same but with the Photo Credit added but the image and text is locked into position because its all inserted into a table.

The HTML code for this example is:

<table border=”0″ width=”484″>
<tr>
<td width=”343″>
<p>Your text goes here ———————————-
<br>——————————————————
<br>——————————————————
<br>——————————————————
<br>——————————————————
</p></td>
<td width=”131″>
<p align=”center”><img src=”http://www.websitebuildersguide.com/images/img2.jpg” width=”100″ height=”78″ border=”0″>
<br>Photo Credit
</p>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width=”478″ colspan=”2″>
<p>—————————————————————————–</p>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Tables are better to use than layers because Tables are supported by all browsers and have been part of the HTML process since the invention of HTML.

Web Art

Web Art are cool creative images you can apply to your website.

When adding web-art to your web site web page It will all depend on if you’re adding a little creativity to your images (Sample 1) or if you’re creating typography based images (Sample 2).

You will need an Illustration software program like Adobe Illustrator to create an image like Sample 2 and a software program like Adobe Photoshop to create an image using a combination of typography and image (like Sample 1).

web art

Sample 1 - Photo with Typography

make a web site

Sample 2 - Plain image using Typography only

These web site web page images were designed in Photoshop and Illustrator. The process involved adding a few layers, adding the text on one layer and on another and using the brush to erase and create the see though look and feel you see above.

Depending on the difficulty of your image you want to create for your web site web page this can take a few hours to complete.

Tip - An idea is to work on your web site image for a few hours stopping and resting.
By doing this you will be able to see your image from the perspective its designed from otherwise you will be attempting to perfect the image on an ongoing basis which can cause frustration. The trick is to know when to stop.

Website Digital Signature

Website Digital Signature - Have you ever wondered how people add signatures to there webpage content? There are a number ways of doing this and the first way is the traditional way of signing a piece of paper and scanning it into your computer. This generally takes up a bit of work and effort and I am not sure if it is a great idea to promote the actual signature you may use to sign cheque’s and other important documents.

Another way of doing this is by creating your signature digitally using a photo editing program and a font that gives you the effect of hand writing. To create your digital signature there are two things you will need.

The first is photo editing software that lets you create an image and apply font to it. Using a program you are familiar with will help by making this process easy to implement. The second thing you need is the font itself. Click here to find and download the font you want to use for your hand written digital signature and make sure you install it on your computer.

Once you have installed your font start up your image editing program and create a white or transparent background image. A good size is 150 pixels x  45 pixels.

Add text and select the font you want to use for your hand writing. The next step is to type in your name and then save your image either as a gif or jpg.

Your website digital signature should look like mine:

Website Digital Signature

You have now created your own hand written signature image. You can apply this on your contact forms, about me pages or anywhere else on your web page that you want to apply your signature. Adding a signature provides your web page’s with professionalism and confidence so use it wisely.

Completed Image

The above image example is what you will be able to create with this 3 in 1 image example tutorial. You can add as many images as you need to but for this example we will only use 3 images.

Lets get started.

1.Create 1 new image with the size you need in Photo Plus
(CTRL N).
2. Open the images you want to place in your new image.
Now click on one of the images you want to copy and copy that image (CTRL+C).
3. Now click on the image (so you can ‘activate’ and work on the correct image) that you want to create with the 3 merged images and paste the image as a layer (CTRL+L). You should now see the image in your new image as a layer.

If you want to move this image around just click on the image layer first then move it around by clicking on the move tool photo shop which is in the adobe photo shop toolbar (the Toolbar is #1 of the Photo Plus Screen Shot example).

Move the image where you need it to be in the image.

If you’re not sure how to create a new image please follow the first few steps of the banner example.

This process requires to:

  • Create 1 new image
  • Copy and paste the image you want to be part of the new image as a layer into your new image
  • Optimise your images and save them.

This process is similar to but instead you’re using Photo Plus to complete this process in blending 3 image or photos into the 1 image or picture.
